Location of Filming
This is he location in which we shot most of our trailer, I thought it was perfect location to shoot the trailer as with all the trees and woods and number of bridges the location has to offer, in the dark it creates a real spooky and scary atmosphere.
StoryBoard
This is my storyboard, this will show the number of different camera angles and edits I will be using in my trailer. It will also show the lines in which the actors will say and he times they should say it.
Network Failure
Due to a network failure in my school, work since November 14th has all been lost and therefore will not be uploaded until returned.

Mock Up Magazine Cover
The Film magazine I am going to be using is Empire, the Main image is going to most probably be the main actor of the film. A secondary image I will use of one of the green screen's in my school and it will link to an article of technology and where will it end. The date will be the day I finish making the magazine and the price will be £3 am issue. The main Cover line will read the title title of the film "The Darkness Within"

Research Feedback.
I have analysed my blog and I realised straight away the number of spelling errors I have I on it so in order to make it look more professional I will have to change these. I also need to add more detail onto my film trailer analysis. Also one of the blog posts I have missed out is the analysation of a franchise in the genre I have chosen.

Questionnaire results
This question asks the audinece how effective they find movie trailers and 100% of the people voted that movie trailers are effective. I gatherd from this that movie traielrs are the most effective way of advertising.
This question indicates where people most likely see their film trailers. In the cinema itself, the internet and on T.V. are very popular options as they shared over 90% of the votes.
This question shows me how influential movie posters are in the advertising of a movie. The results of this movie shows me that movie posters are not actually that succesfull in influencing people to go and see a movie as 62% of the people voted movie posters as inofective.
This question indicates that the audience do not think that a movie poster is an effective way of advertising as 77% of the people say it is an ineffective way of advertising an up and coming movie.
This question indicates the likely hood of where people see movie posters, 62% of the people voted at the cinema, and internet and magazine both got 54% each as they are also popular places to see a movie poster. This helps me understand where movie posters are most effective.
This question shows me the influence that film magazines have on the advertising of a film. 54% of the people vote it is an effective way of advertising.
This question helps me understand the effectiveness of a film magazines advertising skills, and how influential it is. Another 54% of the people voted that is is effective.
This question shows me exactly what part of a film magazines are effective, the most effective thing is mainly the interviews that their are inside, followed by the main image, mostly of the main character of an up and coming movie. Things such as the slogan did not get a single vote so this is the most inefactive thing on a magazine cover.
In conclusion these results have shown me the effective ways o advertise my horror movie and what things grab the viewers eye.

Codes and Conventions of Trailers and anaysis of a franchise in my chosen trailer
Here is the trailer of the up and coming movie Paranormal Activity 4. At the start of this trailer there are very short clips of the previous movies of this franchise this helps the audience recognise the franchise. At the start of this trailer you can easily recognise the equalibrium where the girl is just talking to her friend on her webcam. The disturbance first occurs when the little boy outside features this is where th audience first feel like something strange is going to happen.
At the start there are long slow edits but as the trailer carries on the edits become alot quicker which connote there is something happening out of the ordinary. Also the use of sound in the background creates suspence, the sound is like a static sound which is most probably coming from the laptop the girl is using but it gives a great effect as it is loud and very scratchy which gives it that horror feeling about it.
The trailer also has an enigma when the man behind her features this lrsves the viewers wanting more and therefore creates hype.
Here is the Poster for Paranormal activity 4, as you can see they have kept the same house style as their previous posters. The poster is very easy to identify the characters because they have used the same characters in the trailer, the girl in the bed is the girl who is on the laptop to her friend, also the dark figure in the background also features in the trailer.
There is also an equalibrium in this poster because the girl is asleep not aware of the dark figure standing over her, so this gives the audience the feeling that their will be a disturbance in the movie. The same enigma is used in the trailer as people want to find out more about the dark figure in the room and his fasination with this girl.
Codes and Conventions of Posters
This is a poster of the 2nd movie of the paranormal activity franchise "Paranormal Activity 2" After the major success of the first movie they have seemed to go down the traditional route using simplistic codes and conventions to advertise this movie. Posters for all of the movies in the franchise are somewhat the same example like all horror movie posters they have to be dark and eye catching but without giving too much away to the audience.
On all of the Paranormal Activity posters they use a picture of a scary scene in the movie but not necessarily the scary moment it is sort of the build up before the scary moment happens this gives the audience a hint in what is going to happen next and they will go to see it if they where correct or not. Also the use of "The most anticipated horror event of the year" crated hype for the movie. Also the red color of the "Paranormal Activity" sign gives it a scary edge to the poster as red connotes danger.
After the success of the first movie there was already a large fanbase for this franchise so they hype of this movie was created by the first movie. The audience of thie movie will be eagerly anticipating the release of this sequal so they have put the release date on the bottom of the poster in bright white text ontop of a dark background so it stands out.

My Chosen Trailer
The genre I have chosen is a hybrid genre of horror and thriller. I have always found horror thrilling and interesting as I see horror movies such as Paranormal activity and the Exorsism as masterpices in their own right as they offer so much more than other genres.

I wanted some of my friends and family to answer my questionnaire so I posted it on Facebook so it was easily accessible for them. This will help me reach my target audience because alot of my target audience are on facebook. If I do not get the results I am looking for I will maybe post this on a movie website which specialises in the genre I am specialising in.

Dark Night Rises Campaign
In this blog post I will be analysing the the Dark Knight Rises campaign.
In this trailer it is very easy for the viewers to identify the new characters and the role they are playing in the movie. Also the mise en scene such as the characters constume are exactly the same in the trailer poster and magazine cover so it is easily noticed as the conclusion of the batman franchise.
This poster I found links very well with the trailer as this batman sign is found in the trailer and the audience can easily make that link and easily identify that this is the Dark night rises. This is also the cover of the batman soundtrack so all of these songs will be identifiable by the people who have seent he movie.
In this magazine cover it is very clear that this magazine was targeted at males by using the femenism of ann hathaway the fact that she has turned away from the camera giving more of a pose connotes the male gaze. the magazine is very plain with no special effects the only thing is that the main image is super imposed onto the masthead. This works because this particular movie does not need all of this because it is already a huge franchise with eadily identifiable characters.
This poster shows the audience that this is a warner bros blockbuster movie by placing batman in the center of the picture with as street behind him and the building falling down and on fire. It is somewhat similar to the dark night poster but is easily told apart, the poster connotes the distruction of gotham city in this movie and that the caos has gotten worse over time.
Batman - (hero)
Bane - (the villan)
Catwoman - (princess)
Lucious fox - (donor)
Commisionair Gordon - (dispatcher)
Alfred - (the helper)
